Testing out some things on my camera with a partly cloudy day and no bright ideas on what to take a picture of I just took a picture of the brightest thing I know of. Was going for some sun flare. Mediocre attempt at it but it is a nice set up I think. CC of course is always welcomed!

I like the trees framing it, but might have cropped even a little closer from the top and left. I DO like your sunflare!!
I like it Blake! I like the deep dusty sort of blue in the sky. It looks like it was close to dusk maybe, or stormy out. I like it a lot.
I think to get the effect you were probably looking for, you maybe should have waited just a little longer, so the sun was slightly farther sunk behind the tree. that would have given more flare. But I really like it this way, too.
Janelle, yeah I it was around 2 when i went out and i wouldnt have been able to make it out for sunset so that is a good idea. Also it was partly cloudy all day and I focused right in the sun so it sort of darkened the blue sky which i thought was interesting.

i love it so much, i am thinking of maybe more trees to make a fuller frame?? or closer in
