CHANGE

How do you capture "Change"? This was a bit tough for me, and then as I've been out planting my garden all day I thot of how the plants change - they start as a tiny little seed and sprout and grow and blossom and turn into something delicious and beautiful. BUT since it is too soon for any of those pictures, and after taking many pictures of the budding flowers on the apple tree, my mind went a bit different direction.

I apologize for the UGLY picture of CHANGE that follows.

Changing, dying dandelions.

This picture perfectly shows the change that is taking place in our yard. When we moved here 4 years ago, there were lots of dandelions. And since then there have become LOTS more dandelions. This year I decided is the year to CHANGE that. My hubby and I each tackled about half the lawn and sprayed them all. And we will spray again. And again. And again if needed to get rid of them!

And as you can see from this picture, they are definitely CHANGING. I liked how in this picture you can see a yellow dandelion "flower," the white seeded ones, the shriveling up of the weed as a whole and the brown, changing, dying stems.

Piano KEYS

I'm sure others have had this idea, but I haven't looked at any yet! And once again, this picture ended up being vertical instead of horizontal. Oh well.

I took several shots of the piano keys alone, and then my 6 year old came over and sat down and I liked how it ended up better than the keys alone.

One Banana a Day . . .

Keeps my leg cramps away!

So I apologize - I have been a TOTAL slacker the last 2 1/2 months or so, as I was working a temp FT job and just could NOT do everything! But I am glad to be back and take part in this challenge!
I'm now almost 8 months prego (#4) and for some time was having horrid leg and foot cramps. A calcium/magnesium supplement and ONE Banana a Day for potassium and I am good to go!

One Banana a Day, Keeps the Doctor Away!(This pic is supposed to be horizontal - no idea why it keeps coming up vertical!)

DREAM - Sunny & Warm

Ok, so better late than never!! I had some technical difficulties with my computer/camera not wanting to work together and upload my pictures - but I DID have my picture taken and ready on time! :)

So this has been my dream the last few months - ok, longer than that - but REALLY the last few months. I want to get away SO bad and get away someplace that is warm and sunny (I live it UT - it's cold and snowy and I am tired of it! I HATE being cold!) and this picture (a pic taken of a pic from a calendar!) has it all - nice sandy beach, gorgeous blue water, and sun, sun, sun! For now it is just that - a DREAM, and though I know that it will not be reality for us any time this year, I will keep on dreaming of the day that it is!

Self-Portrait: Lisa

As much as I hate pictures of me, here I am! Like many others, I am always SO critical of how I look in pictures - something is always wrong! And I took about 30 tonite trying to get one that I could live with - so yeah, here I am!

My name is Lisa. As I said before, I have 3 kids (ages 6, 4, and my "baby" will be 3 in just 3 days!) and 1 on the way (coming end of May/first of June, whenever she/he decides to - and yes, it is a surprise!). I've been married to my hubby Rick for just over 7 years. He is a civil engineer and LOVES what he does a little too much sometimes! We've lived in "Happy Valley", Utah for 3 1/2 years now.

Beginning next week I will go from FT SAHM to FT Working Mom (is there a code for that?!) as a secretary for an accountant during tax season. I've pretty overwhelmed by it, but it will be good for more than one reason. I have recently started scrapbooking and my goal is to have all of my children's first year of life finished by the end of this year! I also like to make hair bows for my 2 girls, love playing tennis, tap dancing (while prego!), and reading.

Comfort - A Sister's Love

My 2 little girls! Now this is definitely Comfort!

We were all tired and worn out today. We were all up too late playing at Nana & Papa's with my hubby's siblings that just arrived yesterday. So we went to our church meetings, where the kids were all squirmy and yawning, came home, had a quick lunch and then my hubby laid down with the girls, while I laid down with our son. And yes, my 6 year old is even in her jammies already! Even more comfortable! I love the moments when all of my children are playing nicely together, sleeping together is even better! To me, that is a huge comfort!

Like my previous post, I know this is not a very artistic or creative picture, but I did try a few different angles and really liked how this one turned out.

Clean

Hi - my name is Lisa and I am a slacker!

I Know, I know! This was supposed to be done by last nite, but I have just been busy and a slacker - trying to get the house CLEAN for company coming tomorrow and also organized for when I start a new job soon and have a babysitter here, I want things to be CLEAN and easy to find for her!So here is my latest "CLEAN" - the guest room where my wonderful sister-in-law will be staying for the next week. CLEAN sheets and bedding - I LOVE a freshly made bed!

Also, just to introduce myself a bit - I am a mom of 3 +1 on the way. For the last 3 1/2 years I have been a FT SAHM, but like I said, I am getting ready to start a new job in just over a week - working as a secretary for an accountant. Which happened pretty quickly! I am a mix of being nervous, excited, and stressed over this. How do working moms do it?! I just keep reminding myself that it is only temporary, for tax season, and then I will be back to being mom FT.

I am by no means a photographer! I love enjoying others photos and creativity and hope that this will get me thinking more out of the box. My photos mostly consist of my kids and just for fun. And I really need to start taking more of them!
