Eyewear

I had a lot of vision for this, my last Philly session, but due to circumstances out of my control it only lasted 20 minutes :\ . This girl also needs help with her vision - which can make photography tricky.

Challenge: Vision

I've got a whole list of challenge ideas, but I thought this would be an interesting one. Have at it, and please post by midnight tomorrow!

p.s. Rachel here, popping in on Janelle's challenge word. SO SORRY about this morning and forgetting to put a word. COMPLETELY slipped my mind!

Let's see what you have!

Winners: Blue

Good morning! Sorry I'm late getting this up. The favorite for this challenge -- by far! -- was Shelby, with her blue squares. For those of you still trying to figure out what they were, she posted a link to her personal blog with an explanation/demo in it.

Coming in second was Mindy, with a sweet blue eyed beauty.

Stay tuned, because I think we've got a new challenge coming sometime today!

Blue-Eyed Love

Well, this is my first post here and I will be amazed if it actually shows up picture and all. If it miraculously does, this is a picture of my husband's eye, love of my life, blue-eyes and all.

Voting: Blue

Good morning! I hope no one is feeling BLUE today. (Sorry, I can't resist a good pun.)

Okay, let's vote for our two favorite photos again, and don't forget shoutouts!

'Till I'm Blue in the Face...

We've got BLUE,
Yes we DO!
We've got BLUE,
How 'bout YOU?!

I'm sorry for being a total PUNK lately and not posting anything at all (I HATE not commenting... makes me feel icky inside... I donotlikeit, Sam-I-am). I'm recommitting right now!

ps. this is our track... just like stating the obvious!

New blue

I finally bought a case for my camera last night. It's blue. And cute.

Bale of Hay on a Perfect Blue Sky

This was taken at sunset not too far from my house. I thought I would make it to the city today and shoot something blue but did not have the chance to go. So here’s another country picture. Bale of Hay on a Perfect Blue Sky.

Blue-eyed Beauty

I really wanted to be more creative with this word, but I'm feeling so darn blue that I just can't. ;) Oh, things just have to get better. Right? RIGHT???

Basket full of Blue

These sweet little blue eyed babies are the newest addition to our family, they are 3 weeks old now. They have the cutest little faces and pretty blue eyes. They were not very cooperative tho when I was trying to take their pictures! Typical babies!

TEST POST

Hey everyone. Somehow this blog got noticed as a spam blog--

Don't know how or why, but I DO know that I have taken the steps necessary to fix it--now we are just waiting on blogger.

Am posting this as a test post to see if it works. I heard there was trouble posing because of this situation...

STAY TUNED...

Blue...or Pink?

We find out next Monday! (As in, a week and a half) So, you can tell it's been on my mind!

BLUE SWING

We went to our favorite park today. There are about 10 swings at this park...but only
1 Blue Swing.
Which one does my 2 year old want? That's right, the BLUE ONE!
So while there are 6 swings dangling we patiently wait for the BLUE ONE.
Whatever makes her smile...and it did! :)

Classic Blue

While perusing my favorite antique store/boutique (with camera in hand) I came across these babies. The Hardy boys?! Oh the memories! Took me back to my lazy, youthful summer days when I lounged about in the sun and devoured all the Hardy boys and Nancy Drew books I could find. All of a sudden I feel old...and slightly nerdy ;).

Cure for the Summertime Blues

Today was one of those days where my kids have just been off... every one's on edge, nothing seems to make them happy. After much trial and error, I finally found the cure! Beautiful, cool, clear blue water!

ClothesLINE

f2.2, 1/160, iso400, 50mm
I do apologize... I realize I've posted another vintage bokeh photo, but I have given in... it's just me, and I can't stop myself! ;) Plus, don't these old clothespins just scream for a vintage finish?

Blind lines

This is the shadow cast in the last afternoon by the mini-blinds on my front window. The lighter half is my wall, the darker part is a wool blanket that is currently covering a card table.

Horizon Line

I knew exactly what I wanted for this challenge since I've been reading Kelby's Digital Photography book and was just going over the section on panaramas. I decided a panaroma would be the perfect way to portray a LINE. It ended up being tougher than anticipated simply due to the weather conditions. We headed to the beach yesterday but ended up with Blah pictures so today we made another trip later in the day (better light) and got the special treat of some beautiful cloud cover. I loved the way it turned out. I did have to shrink it down for the blog, it ended up being about 150 megapixels with 27 pictures total. The tiny size it shows up here really doesn't do it justice. Make sure you click to blow it up.

Lots of lines...but yet, not line

Confused by my title? Let me explain...

Yesterday we went to a water park about 45 minutes from our house. The forecast called for extreme heat, so we thought...WATER PARK. I brought my camera with me because we totally thought that EVERYONE else in the Phoenix area would have had the same thought, so naturally I would see a lot of people waiting in LINE...we were wrong.

It was a ghost town...no LINES for any of the water slides...ANY. My kids were ecstatic, and went on more slides yesterday than all of our previous visits totalled.

So, I was left with taking pictures of all of the "lines" that made up the architecture of the slides...holding the areas for the people to form lines.

So, here you see lots of lines...yet no line. Wait, now I'm confused.

Fence Line

Driving around Weatherford, TX at 106 F in the shade,

my dog thought I was crazy to get out of the car.

This fence goes on forever.

It is a fabulous Ranch with horses staying cool under the sprinkler systems on green meadows.

Bark Line

Im just thinking this tree is fantastic. I stumbled upon it when I was shooting something else. There was no way around the light coming around the sides of the tree no matter what angle I took it on. CC Welcomed and More photos
