Automatic Enjoyment

Sorry this is so late. There has been a ton of sickness in our family. Our little boy was sick, then my wife, now me. So....pictures have just not been on the top of my list for a bit. But, I'm back. This is a picture of our sons fishtank that his aunt got him for Christmas. There are 3 little fish in it. Every morning he has to run to find his fish, and this is also his nightlight. He absolutely loves it, and enjoys it. He can spend minutes watching them. Also, when he eats breakfast, he watches is "baby can read" videos, and will watch for the full 45 minutes. For us, it is "Automatic Enjoyment" and we can get our morning things accomplished. It's great!!

What a celebration!!

Tonight, we celebrated with my favorite dessert. Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. What were we celebrating you ask? Daddy didn't have to work tonight. I work every other Sunday, and this was my night off. We had some ice cream in the freezer and lounged by watching a movie. It was so much fun. I tried so hard to make this picture 'not blurry', but I'm still learning. Any tips or tricks to teach me would be very helpful!!!

SuperHero/Hero

Sorry this is so behind. My little superhero has been so sick. He was even in the hospital for a day. Not fun at all. He is getting better. It has been a long week. I apologize, but this picture was taken before he got sick. He hasn't been too picture happy this week, so I had to use one that I had already taken. He took this costume from his "build a bear" and wanted to wear it, so I put it on him. I think he's a pretty cute superhero. He is also my little hero. We all have many heros, and he is one of mine.

Better Late....than Never

A year ago next month, my Grandma Martin passed away. As my parents and other aunt and uncles were cleaning out her home, they came across something that they didn't even know existed. She had been keeping a journal of her life. They had no idea that she had been doing this for them. They went and had copies made for themselves, and all of her grandchildren. It has been so fun to read everything she had kept for so long. I decided that as a parent, that my wife and I should keep a journal as well, so that our posterity, after we are long gone, then they will know what our lives were like. I thought that getting my Grandmothers journal was the neatest thing. So, I guess it really is better late than never to start something that will last from generation to generation.

Love....Marriage

What is love? That is a question that I think lingers in the minds of most people. Two weeks ago, on February 5th, my wife and I got to attend the wedding of my little brother in the Idaho Falls Temple. To me...that is one of the meanings or defintions of love. Here, these two wonderful young people are taking what they feel in their hearts and combining it into one, to make a life together. It was a great day. (Even to watch my brother, get very embarrassed by trying to get the garter off!!) We are so happy for them and the things that are in store for them. As you can tell....Mason got pretty tuckered out by the end of the day.

My "dream big"

This is my son. He is my dream. I am always dreaming about how he will grow, what he'll do when he's older, what he is going to do next to make me laugh. I dream for the day when he will sleep through the night (ha, ha). I dream of the type of "big brother" he is going to be. I look at him and wonder what he will experience in life, and how much harder it may be for him then it was for me. I wonder what is in store for him and how he will handle those situations that may arise and confront him. He is my dream. There is a great song called Dream Big, and there is a line that says.... "Dream big, as big as the ocean. If you dream it will come true.... Dream Big!" How I dream that when he is older and can start carrying those dreams of his own that they will come true. Dream Big, my son!!!

Self Portrait.....

Okay, so this is me, Justin. Like everyone else, I really dislike these kind of pictures. So, a little about me. I am working full time at Mountian View Hospital. I am a Surgical Supply Tech. Basically, I get all the supplies in cases ready for the doctors to use during their surgery. It is a lot of fun, and busy work. On Friday's I do the scheduling for the surgeries, and am kind of the 'run-around' person when I'm not pulling the cases or scheduling. I really like what I do. I am also going to school. Right now, I am doing my pre-requisites for nursing school. I will be able to apply for the LPN program next May. I can't wait. It is so much fun to learn all the different areas that I will be going to go through in the program. I have been married to my wonderful wife for 3 years this year, and we have a little boy who is 15 months, and a second one (a girl) due in May. So, that is me. Busy, busy, busy. Can't wait for a moment to rest when my schooling is done.
