When two become ONE

(195mm macro setting, f/7.1, 1/100, ISO400)

Used natural light and spot metering. In Elements I sharpened, cropped and burned the black to make it darker.

CC welcome

Oh and my lens is now stuck in macro mode....HELP! Any ideas on how to get it out?! The little switch seems jammed.

Pretty. I love the dark background. Lighting, lighting, lighting. That is my new goal!

I'm so sorry about your lens! I have no idea what to tell you... I guess we'll just have to look at a lot of beautiful macro pictures from you. ;) I love your picture! The diamond looks like a heart, which is just perfect for the theme of ONE... beautiful picture, Brittney!

It is a heart actually, Dave picked it out all by himself ;).

I like it! Great job! And burning the black is always a great thing to do. I hate black that's not really BLACK. :)

I really love the symbolism behind this picture. I love the lighting too. It could look really neat if you added some black at the top and had the rings at the bottom of the frame.

I agree with everyone...great photo! The heart shaped stone is beautiful, and fairly unique, too (I would guess). When I click to enlarge the photo, I love all the wear and tear I can see on your husband's band. It's been through a lot, but still you're both here.

I especially like how the ring looks worn. Like it's not a new love, but one that has weathered some of life's challenges.
