(195mm macro setting, f/7.1, 1/100, ISO400)Used natural light and spot metering. In Elements I sharpened, cropped and burned the black to make it darker.

Yes! Its out of Macro mode. Dave woke up, fiddled with it for a moment and it was good to go. Boy did I feel stupid ;).
I really love the symbolism behind this picture. I love the lighting too. It could look really neat if you added some black at the top and had the rings at the bottom of the frame.
I agree with everyone...great photo! The heart shaped stone is beautiful, and fairly unique, too (I would guess). When I click to enlarge the photo, I love all the wear and tear I can see on your husband's band. It's been through a lot, but still you're both here.

haha yeah, he always forgets to take his ring off when he works in hiw shop or on the cars.
I especially like how the ring looks worn. Like it's not a new love, but one that has weathered some of life's challenges.
