CYC: Abstract basket
I have a hard time with this word, because whenever I think of "abstract" I think that you're not supposed to be able to tell what it is you're looking at. However, I took this photo with the word "abstract" in mind. It's an old-fashioned (probably hand-woven) basket hanging from the ceiling in the Newel K. Whitney store in Kirtland, OH.

lovely, the lighting, composition, and focus... excellent
I think it is a great picture. It is abstract not only cus it is upside down but also cus of the texture! Interesting choice!
Love both pictures..the colors are beautiful and I especially love the old corn checker set. That would be a great place to visit and take pictures.
Teri, you have no idea how many pictures I have there. I only live about 25 minutes away, so I go every time someone comes to visit us who hasn't been there before, and I always take my camera. I often photograph the same things, but I seem to find new ways to do it each time. And I can easily take 100 pictures in a day out in Kirtland. Most of them are in this tiny little old shop, too.
Neat abstract.
