This is the display of flags at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum here in Fayetteville in honor of Memorial Day. Each flag represents a Hero's life lost in war.
Oh Candace, I'm SO glad you did this! It's perfect and a great reminder for Memorial day. For me, this picture conveyed a lot of emotion. I love the slightly brooding sky, the colors and how you shot at f/10 so every single flag is in focus...because EVERY single flag is important. Pat yourself on the back, girl. Go ahead, do it ;).
Wow, this one is just so beautiful, in so many ways. I love that you have this display in your town, how awesome. I love what Brittney said, she totally said it perfectly, the sky and ALL the flags, it's really just so wonderful!
I love this, I actually went to our graveyard today because they had little flags all over the military tombstones, and I wanted to get an awsome picture of them but they didn't turn out that great..but yours is lovely... just lovely. I am going to post mine on my blog for Memorial day, so I am glad you picked the subject Hero.
Love the picture, great angle. We spent yesterday putting flags at the cemetary for a scout service project. my kids love finding heros to put flags next to.
Here is your mission, approximately once a week, an assignment will be given. Group members will then have 24 hours from the time of the assignment to take new pictures that interpret that assignment and post their picture for us all to see.
Again, this is YOUR interpretation of the word...be creative!
1) Move past the literal. Take risks and don't be afraid to do something wacky.
2) Under your submitted photo, tell us why that picture made the cut. Why did you take it? What inspired you?
3) LEAVE COMMENTS when you can!! It is fun to join in and let others know what we love about a picture.
4) TITLE your picture and use labels for each challenge as well as YOUR name so we can track by person.
5) HAVE FUN!
Want to join the fun??

Perfect picture for the subject! What a powerful picture. I love it!
Grrr...I didn't look at other posted pictures before posting mine. I used a different theme, though, so I guess it's not too much of a duplicate. :)
I really like the motion of these flags...the wind blowing through them. You cropped it nicely, and I like the colors, too.
The field of pictures is so beautiful.
Love the flags in color and the level you got down on to get the shot!
:)
