I'm royally mad!!!! My dear loveable Sony DSLR-A200 has to be sent out for service. I've only had this camera two months and it has destroyed two memory cards. The first one I thought was because of my magnetic necklace I used to wear. I thought maybe that disrupted the camera process. So I stopped wearing the neclace. Then yesterday my camera started eating pictures again!!!!! I talked to tech support and I have to send my camera to Texas to be fixed :( So for now I'm going to be switching back to a Cannon Power Shot. Which is a decent camera but not mine. The only upside is that we are 99% sure that all repairs will be covered under warrenty.
As for the picture. I set this up in my office, with some natural light and a flash. I used a towel to lend some texture and but a box underneath the towel to ad some levels. In photo shop I cropped it fixed the levels a little. I know it is far from a good picture but that's just how mad I am. Okay now that I'm done venting.
-CC- is especially welcome on this picture. Who knows how long my camera will be out of commission. So I'll need help relearning how to use the Cannon. Thanks for listening!!!!

Oh, wretchedness! I'm so sorry! It's a nice picture of your camera, though. I like the dimension the boxes give the picture.
Bummer about your camera... I would be lost without mine. We just get so dependent on them don't we? Anyway nice picture of your beloved camera and hope you get it back soon.
crapdangitsonofabrokengun.... that's soo sucky about your baby. I'm hoping it'll be a quick fix (and maybe, just maybe, they'll throw in a free awesome lens or tripod???)
But i like your picture, it's sort of a cute angle-- like the poor guy's dead or sleeping or just not "up to it's full speed"... the way it's laying on it's "back"! I also think your camera is supa sexy... me likey!
Crys, you just got that camera! And after all the ordering, canceling, and re-ordering...that just sucks. I'm sorry. Great angle on this photo, though. I like the long view of it. For CC, I think a more solid background might be better (like a sheet or tablecloth), instead of a textured towel.
Now that I look at the picture (12 hours later) Janelle you are right less texture would be better. I picked the towel because it was right next to my desk in the office where I was doing all the paper work so I just grabbed it.
Just so you all know today turned out to be a much better day! Some things worked out really well for us. I'm still bummed about the camera but overall the good is out weighing the bad.
Ugh, sorry about your camera! I think I would have cried! My only cc would be to try experimenting with compostion a bit so the camera isn't dead center.
I wish your camera a speedy recovery, I really do.
I hope your camera gets fixed soon! I like the angle you chose for this- I'm LOL'ing at Katy's description (as usual).
I'd be lost without my camera! I hope it comes back better than new!
That sucks. My condolences on the camera--I hope it comes back soon!
So, I'm definitely under the influence of Lindy Lou's s/he above, but I think you should have gone for broke with the humor aspect. It sort of already looks like the camera is wrapped up in a comfy bathrobe; why not add a thermometer or a bowl (or can) of chicken noodle soup to emphasize your camera is a sicky? I'd say you could have used satin, but that probably would have looked more like a coffin, and we're all hoping your camera isn't that bad off!
best of luck!
that is too bad about the camera! Hope they fix it fast.
