This is my grandma's sewing machine that is over 50 years old. And yes it does still work. She used it to make dresses, costumes, and everything else for her four girls. When she heard that I didn't know how to sew she sent it home with me telling me it was time to learn.
Taken with Cannon Rebel XSi in auto setting, (still having some problems with manual) 1/60s, f/4.0, ISO:400. I cropped it and added the sephia in Picasa. CC always welcome!

I love this... this was exactly my first thoughts when i read the challenge, an old school sewing machine or car... you have the PERFECT machine for it! I love the sepia and the angle... i love the glossy black and that you can read "singer" on the front... very very nice!
Very vintage. I like it! How beautiful. For CC, I would try a different angle, maybe.
Nice job. The picture looks like it's straight out of an old magazine.
I have the same camera! why are you having problems with the manual settings?
Very good!! I love an old sewing machine....love it!!!
wow that old machine is a prize! nice shot
I'm coveting your sewing machine!!! I like the warm black and white. Great job!
I agree with the angle comment...even maybe getting closer up showing only a part of the machine...but what a cool subject! This definitely has the vintage feel!! :)
