"Plant a Garden"

In my church there's a primary song, "The prophet said to plant a garden, so that's what we'll do"- well, I've tried. For three years now I've tried but it seems that all I get are weeds. So, this represents wisdom in the sense that it was told by the leader of our church, in all his wisdom, that we ought to plant one. Also, it seems that some wisdom is required in order to actually make it grow.
I took this picture from my 2nd floor bathroom window. I was taking pictures of the flower buds on a different tree but then I spotted my new garden box (b-day present) and I liked how the bright smooth new wood contrasted with all of the textures around it- old fence, newly budding tree. I liked it.
I did boost the colors a bit and did some burning to make it look like the sun was shining only on the garden- truthfully it was a very dreary rainy day!
CC ALWAYS WELCOME!!

WOW. WOW. WOW!!!!! I LOVE this picture, I love the idea behind it, I really really love that you have your own little garden box (LUCKY! and the tree and green grass are total BONUSES! I also think your fence is AMAZING-to-die-for-never-get-another-fence-ever-ever-ever!!! It's beautiful!

I love how the colors jump out at you. I also like the tree in front of the garden box it gives dimension. And I'm in the same boat as you with the whole garden thing!

I like the composition of this photo. And the contrast between the dark and the bright box (totally like the sun is shining on it, btw). I also like how you boosted the saturation. I think this is a great shot.

The color of the grass and wood box are very cool. I think the tree is a little distracting, but I can see what you were trying to get at. I think moving the tree branch to frame the picture instead of overlay the picture would have worked better for me.

Awesome picture, Teryn! I like the contrasts in texture and color too, and I'm so with you on the garden dilemma... I really wish I had a green thumb and that I loved it....

Very well done. The only CC I have (if you have the control in your PS) Would to make the green in the box brighter than the regular grass. Give the box a real pop out of the picture. But I understand that sometimes we are slaves to our programing. Overall good texture and density.

I love the pop of the garden box! Its lighter color and placement in the picture really draw you to it, ya know?! Love it! Oh and I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling with gardening ;).

I love this shot! The way that you were able to take such a great shot through the trees was awesome. Good colors. Very interesting.

Ha ha, I hear ya, I have the worst black thumb EVER. Great colors in this photo, and if you look just right, the fence in the background actually looks like a forest.

What a great picture. I really like how you were able to "frame" your garden through the branches, and the contrast of the box is marvelous. Super job!

Nice shot even through the tree like that it does give something extra to it.

You are like us we cant do a garden either it grows weeds. There are some edible weeds though maybe if we planted those it would be ok LOL!
