One Duck

This was not the picture I was hoping for. My other idea will have to wait until I can drag my husband out with me because I couldn't get it to work alone. So while tempting to get a different shot this duck came to watch. In a pond that usually has tons of ducks this guy was the only one we saw today so he became my new inspiration. I cropped it a little.

Canon Rebel XSi 300 mm, 1/400s, f/7.1 ISO 500
CC always welcomed!

I love the colors and textures of your photo. Very nice. (almost looks like the duck is smiling :P)

I love how the duck is looking right at us, and I agree with Breezi... almost looks like it is smirking a little bit. I like the water reflection and ripples too.

No kidding, that duck is staring into my SOUL!!! THis is an amazing shot, Julie!!! Wow, i'm especially loving the water, it ripples, reflects, EVERYTHING! (um, i just pretty much said EXACTLY what Mindy said... not on purpose, it's just we're on the same wavelength!! chuckle) Wonderful job!!

Nice i like how you got it. I try getting the ducks and it all comes out blurry. Good shot!

I have seen one lonely duck out on a lake around my house before - and this reminds me of it. Very nice. My only CC is that there is a piece of grass growing out of the duck's head. I hate it when things like that mess up my shots that I work so hard for! Don't you?
