Above all things, Easter is a celebration of Jesus Christ's Resurrection. So, to continue in the theme of "New Life," I present this picture of a plant who has recently emerged from our frozen ground (since Rexburg has decided that Spring might, in fact, be here, and Winter finally gone).
This was taken with my Nikon D-40 on automatic close-up setting, then cropped (to focus on these shapes that I love!). CC welcome, as always!

WOOOHOOO!!! You found some GREEN in our barren wasteland of a town (no, just kidding, i'm actually pretty proud of our little village here!) I really like this photo, it makes me take a deep breath of happiness!! and the pinkish red on the edges of the leaves make it SOO much more... you know, BAM! I love the circles and the red tinge on the leaves. This really is a neat shot. It's beautiful.
I love your close up of them. The color is great, green with that pink on the edge. you can only catch that with this nice angle you got. I love the shapes like every one else. Nice!
