Tall Patriot

There were lots of things patriotic at todays parade- but for some reason this guy stood out to me. Hmmmmm.... wonder why. ;)

I love this one too.... they usually have this at our parade every year but he was missing... so I am glad he was at yours. Great picture.

I like the picture, but I'd like to see it without the watermark as well. I think it's a well-composed picture, but I'm not sure how the watermark is contributing to, or detracting from, the rest of the image. Would you mind posting a link to a copy without the watermark?

Kristine- that means I'd have to actually edit a copy without a watermark ;)Which I haven't done at this point- If I have time I'll put one up. Thanks everyone!

BTW- a watermark does not contribute to a picture, and often detracts. It's purpose is to stop people from stealing your photos. It also leads people to your website if you're in the bizzzzz.

Oooh, love it! What a fun shot, and very nicely composed.

I've been doing a lot of thinking/researching about the watermark thing. I think it would be interesting to have a post on the pros and cons, and the how to's and everything! :)

AprilF--generally, I'd agree with you, but in the case of this image, the watermark serves to reinforce how long and thin the man is. It, I suspect, makes the image feel more balanced than it otherwise would.
