Bark Line

Im just thinking this tree is fantastic. I stumbled upon it when I was shooting something else. There was no way around the light coming around the sides of the tree no matter what angle I took it on. CC Welcomed and More photos

cool shot, Blake! I love big old trees with lots of bark flaking off, as this one looks. And the light makes it glowy, so that's a good detail! :)

The more i look at this picture the more I am hatin the light around it. I think I should have picked a different one.

Blake, the light makes it look ethereal... it's interesting, so don't sweat it! You could have tried getting the sunlight to come just on one side, possibly catching some sun flare, but that doesn't always work out. I think the colors and texture are great on this! Nice eye for lines!

Mindy, I didnt even think about that sunflare, that would have been a great idea! Not sure if it would have worked though the Ebay building plus all the trees around might have made it really hard. I should have tried it. I havent done that before.

Blake, what a GREAT find! This tree looks like a fairy tale tree! I also think that altering your lens angle or camera position would have made the light work better for you, but the shot is still beautiful. Live and learn, right, isn't that what you're here for! You're getting SO MUCH BETTER! I am very impressed!
