Self explanatory here, but I am excited I finally blurred something in the foreground and got the background in focus! HERE for my only 2 decent ones. CC please!
Perfect idea for the word! I never thought of it! And great job with the depth of field... that is a fun thing to learn how to do! The second picture you posted on your blog is really cool how you look through the book... nice job! Did you try any with the book in front in focus and the books in back blurred?
Okay, I totally think you already had this in mind when you came up with that word!!! ;) This is a perfect take, though, for the word and I love how you changed the point of focus from the usual front to the back! Great job doing that!
I thought of the same idea but was going to take a shot of the boring ol' drop box. So glad I didn't, that would have been embarrassing next to your awesome picture ;). Like Candace, I really like the focus...NICE SHOT!!!
I was going to do a library shot, but it was raining today so walking to the library was a no-go. Well, I'll think of something... I like the focus on this one.
I honestly had library as my second choice. A Merry Go Round was my first and I was going to subject my children to it with some good shots but it seems I cant find a park with a single one!
Guess merry go rounds went out with the song "You Spin Me Right Round Baby, Right Round"
i love kids books! that was jon and my favorite date ~ library with cofee (steamers hold the cofee) and read the kids books. and this is really evenly lit! great shot
Ooooooo.... I like it, alot! I also liked the one where you were peeking through the book. That's tough to get the focus sharp and you did a great job. If you struggle getting your camera to focus where you want it to you could try putting it on manual. I zoom in as far as I can, focus, then zoom back out to where I want it. Seems to work for these kind of shots.
Teryn will that work even for a point and shoot? Lets hope it does cus mine struggles. I have tried center i have tried face recognize and the other setting and I hate them all I have to try focusing like 10 times before it works semi right.
Good job Blake... love this picture and I love the library as well. You captured a great feeling here with all the books. I think you might have a winning picture!
Here is your mission, approximately once a week, an assignment will be given. Group members will then have 24 hours from the time of the assignment to take new pictures that interpret that assignment and post their picture for us all to see.
Again, this is YOUR interpretation of the word...be creative!
1) Move past the literal. Take risks and don't be afraid to do something wacky.
2) Under your submitted photo, tell us why that picture made the cut. Why did you take it? What inspired you?
3) LEAVE COMMENTS when you can!! It is fun to join in and let others know what we love about a picture.
4) TITLE your picture and use labels for each challenge as well as YOUR name so we can track by person.
5) HAVE FUN!
Want to join the fun??

I tried that but they didnt blur! I acutally regret cropping this one as I did. It makes it look so small! Make sure you all click to make it bigger.

Candace I did and didnt. I thought of the word first and then started thinking of other words. As I was thinking of other words this idea came to me.
Did I steal your idea? :)

Great shot! I thought of going to the library but was to lazy- I'm glad I didn't! Great job on you DofF!
