Sweet Caroline

I was truly intimidated by this challenge! I was running extremely low on willing subjects, and the last two days have been chaotic and draining, but I decided I had to at least try. I'm so glad I did! This is my sweet Caroline, full of energy and joy -- I can hear her happy laughter when I look at this picture, so I feel that I filled this challenge and "captured the essence" of her!
Edited it in Photoshop with Little Perk action which sharpens and saturates it a bit and adds a vignette (wish I knew how to make those eyes pop a little more). Thanks to Candace for the portrait Tuesday Tutorial you did -- it helped me so much!

I Love this photo. That smile is priceless.

As for the eyes, a quick easy way to enhance them: use your burn tool (looks like a hand making a "c" or "o" shape). Just adjust the bush to fit the eye, range: midtones, and click over them. It will deepen the color ever so slightly.

You can always go crazy with lasso's and saturations and such, too... :0)

Alynn.. I love this of Caroline SO MUCH!!! Your children just sparkle. I'm gonna go message you something on facebook, so check it soon!

Oh, and I'm so glad my tutorial was actually helpful. YOu know how it is when you're the one writing something.. you're not sure if it's going to be helpful or not, so I'm happy to know it was! :)

And.. back to your picture.... I love the colors, the wood plank background with the bright green leaves, it's very frame worthy!

Great job!!

What a doll! This picture is fantastic. I love the way it's framed, the background, that touch of green... oh ya! And the ADORABLE little girl.

For eyes- Pioneer woman has some really great actions, one is "bring on the eyes" and it works great. (I'm all about actions, I'm not so smart as most people w/ PS but they make it look like I am!)

WHOA!!! I love this!! She is gorgeous and I love her smiling face. My only CC would be the leaves in the background- they are a little distracting. Great job- I can't believe you were worried about this!
