I spotted this guy at the Zoo yesterday and his rough coat really caught my eye. He's finally shedding his winter coat in preparation of the warm weather that is finally starting to arrive. The picture is pretty basic, straight on- no fancy angles but I kinda liked how it turned out- Raw, almost "Wild".
I'm still working on figuring out the border thing- I tried to add a black border and this is what I got. But I kinda liked it so I left it be. Istill think that would make a GREAT tutorial one of these days. ::hint hint::
Oh- sorry to double up on you guys but I really wanted to post this one. I just "technically" didn't take the shot (those are my feet) so I figured I'd just put it in for fun. I did the cropping and editing to bring out the bright reds and make it a bit vintage. I call it "rough landing". (I love that kid!)
CC ALWAYS WELCOME!

Love love the camel, and the boy is a cuite!! Both very good shots....great job
I think straight on, in this case, was the way to go...GREAT SHOT. I love the shaggy detail and the coloring. My tutorial is on tuesday, I'll see what I can do about the border thing ;).
Oh and the "rough landing" pic brought a smile to my face. Love the editing on it. What did you do to give it the vintage feel?
Teryn what kind of editing program are you using.?
Both pictures are great! That shaggy camel does look rough, or at least like he's had a rough time of it lately. I actually wouldn't have guessed he's at a zoo--the coloring makes it seem like it could be a stall out in the sub-Sahara or the Arabian peninsula.
Great picture!
The camel doesn't look so good but the picture is amazing!
Teryn, if you have Photoshop, go to this website: http://www.mcpactions.com/main.html
Click on "Try Me" in the left hand menu, and it will take you to her free actions page. A little ways down is her MCP Gallery Frame Action. I'll change my photo so it has this frame around it, so you can see what it looks like. Enjoy!
Btw, forgot to say that I love the color editing on your "rough landing" photo. Too cute!
I like the editing too. I was thinking camel cigarettes at first which makes voices rough but then I finished reading about the picture.
Cool picture!
Ok, first off, can I just say that I am IN LOVE with your rough landing picture? Oh - My- Goodness! What a super great shot! I love the edit too...can you remember how you did that?
No, onto the camel. WOW! Wow. He really does look like he's had a rough winter! I think what really makes this shot is the coat that is shedding. Very rugged and Rough! Great job!
