Breanna

This is my neighbor's little sister, Breanna. I only met her a couple of hours before doing this, and feel like I captured what I know of her. I was going for 'senior portrait' look, even though she's just a sophmore. I was bugged because the sun would NOT cooperate. There were clouds, but almost every time I took a picture, the sun would pop out. Go figure. But I did enjoy working with her. And her mom wants copies of the pictures (all of them), so I feel like I did okay. Other than cropping, this is sooc.

Very pretty! I like your angle on this- I wish that I could see the feet though- makes her legs look reaaalllllyyyyy long (which I guess isn't a bad thing ;)).

Fun angle! I'm sure she and her mom are so excited to get such fun pictures! I don't know how much you cropped off, but I might've tried to leave her hand and feet in there. It's still great, though! Oh, and I hear you with the sun... it plays hide and seek with me too when I'm trying to get pictures! ;)

Great angle! love how you are looking down at her. When shooting out in the sun, it helps to have an umbrella handy or a sunblocker on your camera (It has a technical name, but I'm too tired to think of it). Or hold your hand over the top of the lens, and block it from causing sun flare on your shot.

Great job!

I read somewhere today that when the sun is casting harsh shadows like that, you should try turning on your flash. I haven't tried it yet... it's just a tip I read so I thought I'd pass it along.

Cute composition!

To those who wanted to see her feet: she asked for them to be out since she was wearing slippers. I wouldn't have minded, but I respected her wish.

Also when the sun is playing games, you could take her to the shaded side of a house or under a tree...or even in an open garage so you have cover.

You're definitely on the right track though! Lucky girl to get some new pics!!

LOL, Melinda! So funny that she was wearing slippers! I think that would've been fun to have in there, but you have to listen to the "customer"! ;) Another idea would've been to have her take them off... I love barefoot pictures!

The angle of your shot and her smile catch my eye.
