What IS the Mission 24 photo challenge?
Here is your mission, approximately once a week, an assignment will be given. Group members will then have 24 hours from the time of the assignment to take new pictures that interpret that assignment and post their picture for us all to see.
Again, this is YOUR interpretation of the word...be creative!
1) Move past the literal. Take risks and don't be afraid to do something wacky.
2) Under your submitted photo, tell us why that picture made the cut. Why did you take it? What inspired you?
3) LEAVE COMMENTS when you can!! It is fun to join in and let others know what we love about a picture.
4) TITLE your picture and use labels for each challenge as well as YOUR name so we can track by person.
5) HAVE FUN!

I LOVE it! What a beautiful picture and a beautiful take on the challenge. I love the flag in the background, it really adds to it. My only CC would be to maybe go with a higher aperature so all the badges are in focus. Really though, I love it!
I actually had a picture that did have all of it in focus, but I ended up liking this one more, personally, because it focused in on the U.S. symbol. I was hoping it would kind of show that that was the reason why he was serving. You know, that it's not about the metals and ribbons, it's about the country we live in. The country he's serving. :)
Nice job. The subject really does emit a lot of emotion.

This is beautiful! I kinda wondered what it would look like with the badges in focus but I like what you said about the US being the focus. And I think the flag adds a really nice touch. I just love it!

Wonderful picture AND idea! I love the setup. I go a little overboard with shallow depth of field on my own pictures, so I like the focus on this one. :)

What a neat shot! Like everyone else, I LOVE the flag. I love colors and where you put your focus. Way to go being a military wife...as a military brat, I hear ya!
Awe that is what I feel when I saw this. Repect and awe! One of the best feelings from a picture I have had on here. Guess it is because of my sister in the military and my love for the country.
I love how it focus. To me it focuses on US pin and the rest is a bit out of focus but enough to show nicely! This is just fantastic!
