hot, me.

right when i read this challenge i wanted to show the 'hot' beauty of being a mother... a sort of classic pose from the Renaissance period and a new age mom...me. i set it on the tripod and got it just as i wanted it and then jon pushed the trigger. I love it. i actually feel pretty looking at it. there is nothing too sexy about a back, but the idea that i am a mom, and older now ~ the candles, the blanket... it feels hot to me. and therefore the theme ~ hot.

Taken on nikon d300
iso 3200
speed 40
f stop 2.8
lens 14-24 2.8
black and white alteration in adobe cs3 and added border.

cc as always :)

Ha ha, Lindy, we really need to come up with some way to designate between the two of us...I sure wish MY back looked like that! Great shot, and I love it in B&W.

Especially since when I licked on your tag of "Lindy", it bunched your photo in with all of mine. Again, I only wish I could claim this photo!

This is a beautiful picture, Lindy! I'm very impressed with it all. I like the B/W and the candles too- very ethereal and soft. I too wish my back looked like that!!! But more than that, I think there's definitely a sort of HOTNESS that Mothers have... I'm always looking at beautiful moms in awe (hoping one day that i'll look like that... confident, self-love, assurance... all that) you really captured beauty in this photo!

Really beautiful! I love the shadows on your shoulders, and the arms... I bet your husband loved helping you with this shot! :)

Oh, and I think there's a separate label for Lindy Lue... you might want to make sure that you click on that one so your pictures and the other Lindy's pictures aren't all grouped into one label...

WHAT A UNIQUE SHOT! NO way, no how would you ever get a shot of me like this! I like your thinking outside of the box and being willing to try new things (although, maybe this isn't a new thing... :)jk

I love the ambiance...the lighting...very nice shot!

What a creative idea! I can tell that you put a lot of thought into this shot. And I studied art history and am totally feeling the Renaissance vibe. Great job!

SIZZLE!

Seriously... I wish I could be a hot mama like you! :)
I love the softness of the candle light & the soft pillows. The pose is very artistic.

Great job!

(To clarify, my "wow" is a speechless one, not an offended one...I didn't want you to think I didn't like it. I just can't think of words to comment on it. But it's a good "wow".)

Looks great, and sexy, and hot. Love it. My first thought with Hot was something sexy like this and when I looked over at my hubs and said, "The new challenge is hot..." He was like, "Want me to take my shirt off?" But I decided to keep that all for myself... :) haha. Anyway, this is beautiful.

Beautiful! Love all the curves going on in this photo. My only CC would be the wrinkles in the front- they take away from the rest of the photo a little.

Hot Mama!! I love the candles, the shadows, the b/w, you, the whole thing! I am in awe. You are so much braver than I...and much more in shape, too!
