Found In Your Arms

This statue was a present from my husband's mom when we got married, and I just love it. Every time I see it, it reminds me that we need to always support each other and put our little family first. My husband is amazing because he has given up so much to stay home with our twin boys while I work full time to provide for our family. Not many guys could handle staying home with twins! And true to the post day before yesterday, this photo was taken with my Canon point and shoot because I don't have a macro lens for my Nikon D70 yet...YET! I love love love my Canon PowerShot A470 for its super macro setting! I used PW's Heartland action and Boost action, because I'm in love with her actions. Go here to download her Photoshop action sets!

Someday I'll get outside to take photos of something besides things inside of my house, but it's hard to get that done while on graveyard shift!

I love willow tree... it's amazing how much emotion can be in a little faceless statue. :) Great job with the picture!

I like the sharp angle that really emphasizes that they are holding each other. Great job!

I love those little statues. I agree with zealygirl, the angle is wonderful. It might work better if you increased the contrast a bit, so the shades don't all blend in together.

I love willow tree too...so much emotion, huh? I do agree with Steph though on maybe stepping up the contrast to see the different shades. Would have added some drama to the picture. But it's a great shot!

beautiful picture, getting the shot down from their waists was great idea-- i imaging a child looking up and seeing it from this angle. I also love the sepia? color... very pretty!

I like the angle you took this at! i would have liked it with a black background behind it maybe...so you see the statues apart from the background more. Nice job!

I love your angle on this! Good choice on the processing also!

Thanks for the contrast suggestions, now that I look at it I completely agree. Katy, I actually thought of this angle because I have twin toddler Willow Tree figurines that sit at the base of this statue, and this is the kind of loving relationship I want to present to our boys.
