Abstract Roots

I set out yesterday to take pictures of clouds. But it was overcast which equals too many of the things...and no cool abstract shapes. HOWever, after I had exhausted my imagination and frustration at the sky, I looked down and saw the roots of this tree. I saw two hands, reaching out and clawing forward...what do you see?
Macro, natural overcast lighting, minor cropping.

Isn't it funny when you start out looking up for inspiration, and then you find out it was at your feet the entire time.

cool picture.

Very neat! I love the imagination behind it. I think this would look Great in b&w with all the textures.

I took a picture of tree bark, but it's not the one I went with. Thank goodness, because this is so much cooler than mine was! I like the "hands"!

I am no professional, but I kind of think cropping off a TINY bit off the top and doing it black and white would really capture this so dramatically! This was a really great picture and idea though! I love how involved it is!

I went ahead and re-cropped and did b/w on this...and like it much better and it DOES look more professional. Thanks for the tips!

Totally can see it! Wow! I think it's a little washed out looking, could use a little more contrast, but It's a great composition

I really love outdoor/nature pictures. It almost doesn't matter what the subject is, I just love it. It's my favorite thing to shoot.

I wanted to say thanks for the honorable mention this challenge!
