Success in the Little Things

f5.6 1/13 shutter ISO200, no flash photoshop: warmer, boost (PW actions)

I thought and thought... and thought... about what success means to me, and nothing seemed quite good enough, or important enough. Then it hit me... I have little successes every day. Today it was getting a button sewn on my son's pants (so he can wear them to the Valentines Day dance at school tomorrow... yikes!) It's the little things that really make me feel successful.

Gotta love PW- but you have to have a really good shot to make some of those actions work. This is a really good thot. I love the focus area and the angle. It's awsome!

Mindy, I love your composition and depth of field on this photo! It would be perfect to hang in my sewing room. :) (hint, hint)

I am totally fine with anyone printing my picture to hang in her sewing room. :)

Very, very, very, very cool. Someday when I have a sewing room I want that hanging on the wall.

Whats the "PW" action??

Mindy said...

Shanda, it's actions for photoshop created by Pioneer Woman (go to pioneerwoman.com to her photography section and you can download them for FREE). Anyway, I love playing around with them, and they've actually helped me learn a lot about photoshop (although I have SO much more to learn!!)

Love it, Mindy. Love the composition, and thanks for posting your camera settings- it always helps me learn by seeing what other people did.

OOOH Nice shot. I love how focuesed the needle is. I would call sewing a success also. I am not very good at it! Or just lazy when it comes to sewing anyway!
