Hearts and Flowers

I love getting flowers. I love buying myself flowers. I just love fresh flowers. I haven't been able to justify buying flowers since my husband started law school but yesterday he and our boys brought some to me at work. I also LOVE my boys.

This is such a fun photo. I love the quality of light that makes your hands and flower seem so alive.

This is beautiful! I'd like if you did a tutorial of how you set up that lighting.

What a great shot! What law school is your husband attending? My husband and I met in law school (at the U). It is a crazy time!

I love this. It's very interesting, with the focus on the pinky fingers, the asymmetry (sp?) the flower adds, and the lighting is super dramatic. great photo!

Ditto to what everyone else said! I love it! When I take a picture for this blog I try to get one that I think could possibly be hung on a wall... that's my goal. I don't always achieve it, but YOU definitely did with this one!! :)

Thanks ladies!

Teryn- The lighting is natural light through a sliding glass door. I had my husband (those are his hands) sit right next to it. Truth be told I did a LOT in photoshop- because my hubby didn't want to pose for long so I only got four shots. So I had to do a lot of layers work for the all black background. I bumped the curves to make the lighting more contrasty than it was. Let me know if you want more detailed info.

Jen- We're in NJ- he's going to Rutgers.
