Fresh & Hero

FRESH:
Okay, I posted a post which I will try to delete about how my cookies didn't turn out for my "fresh" photo. I tried a second batch yesterday and again, no dice. SO Here is a photo of some DELICIOUS fresh homemade pudding, which really, when I hear fresh I think of fresh food and this is my favorite. :)

HERO:
My mom is my hero. Here she is, making the very pudding pictured above. :)

I used "Clairify" and "Oh snap!" from the Totally Rad Actions set for both of these, in Photoshop. CC

I really like both of your photos... especially the last one! Did you buy those actions? I thought they were totally rad! ;) but I couldn't afford them!

I invested in them for my photography business, many of the photographers I LOVE use them, so I took the plunge and it has really revolutionized my workflow. Amazing. :) You gotta know how to combine them (make "recipes") to really use them in a way that lets your own style show through. totallyradactions.com
For me, it was worth every penny as it has really helped my workflow go faster and smoother. A MUST for a working mom. :)

Great job!! I LOVE everything about the second picture. I love the colors on the first- the blown spot on the top is a little distracting though.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Totally Rad actions! I think I'd die without Slice It Like A Ninja.

I really like your pudding picture. The texture is really nice.

Regarding your cookies...I live in the Cleveland area, and we get fairly humid here in the summer. A friend of mine told me several months ago that she had lost her "cookie mojo" for awhile here and she finally figured out that it was because her baking soda had gone bad with the humidity. She got new baking soda, and got her mojo back.

Carly, I was wondering if you or your mom would mind if I used the picture of your mom on my blog, apron girls? (aprongirls.blogspot.com) Just for a rotating header, or something like that. I just love the colors and the vintage feel of it. If you don't want me to, that's just fine! No worries!
