The lighting in this photo is all off, I took several at different settings but couldn't get what I wanted. Any sugestions?
My comfort is wrapping up in a blanket, with my pj's and cozy socks on while reading a book, watching a movie or simply talking to my husband or kids.

I think the settings are great. You get your point across. My only suggestion is there is a lot of blank space at the top. Maybe if you turned the camera the other way. Just a thought. Other than that, I really like it.

I'm not sure what exactly you were going for on lighting, but something you could try is bringing in a lamp to light up your feet, or turing on all the lights you can and then not using your flash. That would balance the lighting more, so that the top wouldn't be so dark.
I like the aperture, with the focus on the book and your feet blurred. Good job on that!
