I was at my grandmother's house this weekend in Oklahoma, I told her about the challenge, so she dug around for some old keys and this is what we came up with.

Vintage Toy

So...this is what happened to me today (we have had lots of rain). I was driving around our nice quaint town looking for some inspiration. We live in a country town with dairy and chicken farms all around, so off I went by myself...No child, cell phone, purse or ID. I had to walk about 1/4 mile to a nice farm house and borrow the phone. Needless to say I didn't get to drive around anymore after my husband had to recruit the neighbor to pull me out of the mud. The road in front of me was covered by water so I was trying to turn around with out getting stuck...hehehe.

So...this is my entry. I went home and found this in my little girl's room. It is a toy apple that has a jingling bell inside; the underside says '72 Fisher Price Made in the USA. I played with it at my grandma's house when I was a child, and then she gave it to me to pass on to Emily.

I would like to give a huge thanks to everyone who voted for me in the Black and White Challenge. I was busy all weekend with Church, Family, Friends and Food during Easter. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Also to Dave, my husband was skeptical to when I told him what I wanted to do, and I was even amazed on how great it turned out. Thanks again to everyone!

Computer Support

Okay so I know I've been slacking a lot lately, but I am now going to get back into the swing of things. My husband is a Programmer Analyst and this is my idea of support, not only is it what he does at work, but he is also supporting our house.

Nikon Coolpix 4300...5 more days til I get my D80 it is on its way as I type!!!

Super Stain Remover

Okay so this is my hero. I have lots of people that I could have gotten a picture of, but I took this way out of the box. I use this not only on carpet, but also on the laundry.

Soft, Cozy, Warm

I love the smell and warmth of fresh blankets and towels straight out of the dryer. I am still using my point and shoot, hopefully I will get a SLR soon. Nothing fancy going on here just set on Close Up Scene Mode.

Max the Moose

My mother (aka Grammy) purchased this moose from Kohl's as a Christmas present for Emily. She is so in love with him and he goes everywhere with her including both babysitter's, Wal-Mart, and our trips to Texas; you name it he is always there.

My Little Chicken

Okay, so this isn't a recent picture, and sorry I never posted for Tradition, but my husband has been recovering from the flu last week...yuck! This picture was taken at my husband's grandparents cabin in Texas. We call her chicken, but her name is Daisy. This is her favorite past-time fishing with Dad. She is also my little shadow and is always following me around the house. I also love the reflections of the trees and of her in the water.

Star Light, Star Bright...

I dream of the day when my children can grow up in the country, as I did, and not a subdivision with covenants to follow. I look forward to the day when we will be able to move back to Texas and own not just a house like everyone else's, but our dream home in the country with acreage.

(This picture was taken on this last Wednesday after the Ice Storm passed. It is of the dairy farm in our little town. Don't you feel so sorry for the cows?)

Chaos Laugher and Love - Amanda

Hi everyone, my name is Amanda. I didn't take this picture, but a wonderful neighbor and friend of mine did. This was taken last October when Emily was 6 weeks old. I live in Northwest Arkansas (aka Wal-Martville), but grew up in Oklahoma, graduated high-school in Virginia & graduated college from Texas A&M-Texarkana (where I met my wonderful husband Charles). I work part-time as an Accounting Assistant and spend the other time as the wife, mother & CFO of our home. I am 28 years old and Emily was born on 9/11/2008. My husband and I have been together almost 7 years, but have only been married for 2 1/2 years. We are avid thrill-seekers (sky diving & rollercosters), love the outdoors (4-wheeling & boating) & visiting friends and family in Texas. I am so excited about this site and can't wait to learn a lot and increase my photography skills. Hope everyone is staying warm, we have about 3 inches of ice and 2 inches of snow on the ground here - Brrrr.
