Spread your Wings and Fly

I can honestly say that Rachel had a way to inspire anyone. She came with constant encouragement and feedback, and pushed you to go further each challenge. The creativity that is harnessed on her blog constantly amazes me. I look at the wings of this butterfly and think of the wings of flight. The path life takes, and where we go with it. Thank you again Rachel for sharing your beautiful gift!

Just wondering if anyone can tell me at what age boys stop crying everyday...?

~Sweets = Weakness~

For those of you who show restrain I admire your strength. I however, am weak when it comes to sweets. It doesn't help when your hubby gets home and says, "don't you want to go get donuts?".....Yummmy :)

~More than meets the eye~

I love these old places that you pull up to hesitantly..hoping not to disturb anyone, hop out of the car..camera in hand and slowly look into the broken windows...and find......treasure!!! I find such joy in finding these little forgotten momentos of the past...I always wonder why anyone would leave stuff like this behind.

So , I chose vintage. And wow I had a hard time with this. I did find an old building that caught my attention. I took a lots of shots of the whole structure but really liked this one of the hinges for the front door the best.

My littlest sister turned 15this weekend, and with the trip, we have been busy. I did take this of her though, and represents such a change. In my life,in hers, and all of us as a family. ~love change~

I took this today down by the waterway, the bank was lined with trees that had fallen due to erosion. This one amazed me, and I tried so hard to get a shot that portrayed both the depth of the roots, and height of the tree.









Before I left, while taking pics of a pelican, I saw this across the water on the other side of the bank...just not in time :( The tree fell right before my eyes......

Many Keys Hangin Around

I have a somewhat small obsession with old keys and couldnt think of what to do with them for this challenge. So I hung them .... :)The smallest gold key is my great-grandfather's. He worked on the railroad in 1899, and this went to a lock (that I also have) for the rail cars.

"So Hot"

I had a shoot today and with school have been so busy I didnt post last time. I have edited a few but this one stands out as being so hot to me. Hot in the literal, I know not much thinking outside of the box here. ~cc~

Like...totally Vintage~

I drove and drove yesterday and finally came acoss an old VW scrap yard....I wasn't sure if I would get "the shot", but I just loved this one. ~cc~ as always!

"Red"..Like Fire

I thought of this tree that sits on the corner or our street when I read the challenge. No matter what the season this Japanese Maple is soo beautiful! I was standing under, looking up when I took this shot. When the sun sets in the afternoon and comes through, the tree looks like it is on fire.......

Easter Tradition

When I think of Easter, this is what I think of. The fellowship, and praise. I love this pic, I adjusted the church in photoshop, I wanted the fountains to show more, but had to be far away to capture the entire steeple. Happy Easter!
