In my personal blog I've got another picture I took (I only took a couple of this woman) where she is facing the sun more, but she wasn't smiling, which was why I chose this one. This one was hard for me--the other photo I took was technically better, but I loved the expression on her face better here, which was why I chose this photo. <br /><br />Thanks, all for the feedback--this site is awesome! Every challenge is forcing me to think more about all the different things that go into a good picture, and you all are so good at giving helpful suggestions!kristine Nhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08202917905756050811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8101614991278288313.post-40017056509741135892009-04-27T15:03:00.000-07:002009-04-27T15:03:00.000-07:00I would suggest rotating the subject so that the n...I would suggest rotating the subject so that the natural light is illuminating her face. This would help to punctuate the wisdom/knowledge/light relationship that you associate with her.<br /><br />I hope that I don't mind me providing CC, I am a stalker to this blog.Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04384254595717611200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8101614991278288313.post-15553365227965243282009-04-27T09:31:00.000-07:002009-04-27T09:31:00.000-07:00yes I have heard that western techniques dont grow...yes I have heard that western techniques dont grow a garden as well. I don't think I like the "old photo" effect here... like Brittney, I would have liked to see it without. BUT... I still love the photo! I took another where her face does fill the frame more, but she wasn't smiling, so I went with this one, but it was a toss-up for which I liked better. The old photo function definitely made it less crisp--I'm not sure I'll use it often.kristine Nhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08202917905756050811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8101614991278288313.post-13821185691739745162009-04-26T22:04:00.000-07:002009-04-26T22:04:00.000-07:00OOOOOH!!! I think it would also be interesting to see what the picture looks like without the sepia and old photo function. Seriously though, love the picture and the concept behind it.Brittneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06724691675883402447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8101614991278288313.post-33332452348107068222009-04-26T21:41:00.000-07:002009-04-26T21:41:00.000-07:00I like that you were actually able to find a perso...I like that you were actually able to find a person to photograph!
